PANTONE COLOR OF THE YEAR: Greenery
Every year the king of color, Pantone, comes out with a new “Color of the Year” and this year they went with a springy shade called Greenery. Pantone has become the trusted source for color influence across many industries like fashion, interiors, manufacturing and design.
Greenery is a natural color that plays nicely with all sorts of shades but today we have some inspiration for a Pantone wedding theme using a few colors from the “forest floor” color palette.

Let me describe these summer wedding photos for you in three simple words – bright joyful color! We know that pretty pastels and neutrals will always be in style for weddings but every so often we crave a bright pop of color. This summer wedding has way more than a pop; it’s the perfect mixture of ALL of the happy summer colors we can imagine! With bright hues including teal blue, plum, purple, fuchsia, turquoise, orange and emerald green we know that this wedding is the perfect colorful send off for summer!

In order to give a proper sendoff to what was a perfectly wonderful winter wedding season; we thought we could share the dreamy details from one of our favorite weddings from this past December.
Inspiration: Rustic Charm
Rustic décor is simple yet elegant and is often handcrafted or rooted from the earth. This aesthetic is popular for events because it aligns nicely with couples who identify with organic textures, colors and atmosphere.
Mason Jars were originally used for canning and preserving food and have now become increasingly popular wedding décor. This old-fashioned vintage look can be incorporated into your wedding day in many ways.
Mason jars make great centerpieces and can be easily adorned with tea lights or floating candles to create a soft romantic glow or can even used as small decorative vases.
Embellish the look by using colored mason jars that match your color scheme or simply add soft flowers like baby’s breath and use them to line your ceremony aisle.
Using Farm Tables for dinner receptions creates a timeless and high impact look. They are gorgeous on their own and do not need much flair but using simple table runners or rustic centerpieces like lanterns enhances their appearance.
To create a natural, handpicked looking bouquet or flower arrangement, select wildflowers, leaves, vines and berries that are textured and hang loosely. Or for an even more unique arrangement, incorporate dried flowers, herbs, sunflowers or succulents. Tie your bouquet with burlap string or raffia to complete the look.
Using the colorful and textured elements of fall creates a country, homegrown feel. Harvest décor, such as assorted pumpkins, gourds and corn stalks help to create a welcoming entrance and will set the tone for your event as your guests arrive.
Incorporate natural wood elements such a tree stump trivets for centerpiece displays, vintage wooden boxes, and birch logs for simple woodland accents that will add to the rustic ambiance of your event.
Burlap is a versatile fabric that is earthy and chic making it a perfect décor element for rustic weddings. Burlap banners displaying a saying, your initials or your wedding date is a simple and fun way to decorate any event space.
Combining burlap and lace textures incorporates both rustic and traditional styles and provides an easy to work with canvas for your tablescape.

Showers at Willowdale
Willowdale Estate has been hosting the most charming wedding and baby showers recently, and we figured it was time to share some photos! Putting the FUN in Fundraiser
When planning a fundraiser, it is important to create both a gainful and fun event. With three easy steps, you are sure to hit your fundraising goals!
Focus On Theme
Choosing an enticing and unique theme will capture guest attention and help boost attendance. Keep in mind the audience you are marketing to and choose activities accordingly. Also, decide how you would like to raise funds. Will you host an auction? Perhaps you will host a cooking competition or designer handbag raffle!
Make It Memorable
What will make your event exciting and fun? Again, consider your guest list and arrange appropriate entertainment. A jazz band may lend itself more to a formal affair, while a DJ will get your guests on their feet! If you are charging a ticket price, make sure guests feel as though there is value in the event. Delicious food, tasty cocktails, and favors are an excellent way to add worth to your fundraiser!
Communicate Your Cause
When fundraising, it is important guests understand what they are supporting and why. Be sure to adequately tell your story and be specific as to why you need their money. Showing videos and pictures, hosting a guest speaker related to your organization, or telling an anecdote can reinforce ethos, logos, and pathos with your audience. With a clear vision, your guests are more likely to understand your need as well as facilitate increased generosity.
The cohesiveness and memorability of your event will increase repeat attendance in years to come. Supplying your guests with a reason to continue their support will reap year-long benefits as opposed to singular annual donations. With an enticing, memorable, and profitable event, you are sure to put the FUN in Fundraising!
