PLANNING FOR PROM
Willowdale Estate is a great option for this years prom season! Our custom sail cloth Sperry Tent is available for use May through October and offers flooring, side panels, heating, fans and lighting. Guests will also enjoy exclusive use of our historic property for a 5 hour reception with access to our 1901 Arts & Craft Mansion.
In order to make the planning process as easy as possible, we have just about everything you need for your event already on-site! We include cocktail and reception tables, furniture for food stations, floor length ivory linens, white garden chairs, glassware and flatware! Upgrade options including centerpiece rentals, farm tables and chiavari chairs are also available!
Our on-site gourmet caterer, WILLOWDALE KITCHENS offers an extensive list of culinary offerings to please every students palette and your dining experience can be customized with our flexible menu. Perhaps you want to offer food stations, a plated meal or a cocktail style reception – we can accommodate all of these requests!
For even more entertainment, we offer a variety of lawn games that can be set up on the lawn and garden courtyard adjoining our tent including cornhole, giant jenga, connect four and more!

Tips For Hosting A Corporate Event
Hosting a corporate event creates the opportunity to spend time outside of the office with your co-workers and are meant to be social and fun. There are many reasons to host a corporate event including: nourishing business relationships, team building, product launches, Christmas and holiday parties, wine dinners, inductions, work anniversaries and more. We’ve provided a few tips and ideas for your next corporate event!
It’s all in the details! Weather you get creative with décor, food choices or serve a signature cocktail – customizing your event for your guests is important. From a formal dinner party or a backyard barbecue with lawn games – we can accommodate your request. PR Potential – If you are launching a new product, branch, or honoring a colleague, you may want to hire a photographer or videographer to capture all the highlights (we have a whole list of preferred vendors we can provide you). Willowdale Estate also offers many rental amenities to choose from including a large video monitor, projector screen and a wireless mic for any meetings, speeches or announcements.
A well planned menu that offers a variety of food options will keep your guests talking about your event for weeks to come. When choosing your menu, be aware of those attending who may have food allergies or are vegetarian. 2nd Annual Bluegrass & BBQ
On June 25th, 2015 we hosted our 2nd Annual Bluegrass & BBQ in our garden courtyard, Sperry tent, and two spacious side lawns at Willowdale Estate. Our guests enjoyed Bluegrass music provided by Honeysuckle Hoedown, mouth-watering barbecue, and local beer provided by the Ipswich Ale Brewery tapmobile.
Our menu included southern favorites like fried green tomatoes, watermelon with spicy feta and mint, and corn fritters, available alongside a full range of signature drink options like the Mint Julep, Sweet Tea, and the Gin Fizz served from our beautiful bars in the garden courtyard.
Our event coordinators planned the event perfectly with custom signage, decorations, and lawn games. We want to send out a big thank you to Shane Godfrey Photography for getting so many great photos of the event!

Outdoor team building opportunities are easy to come by since our property is located within Bradley Palmer State Park. Organizing a leisurely hike or planning a canoeing and kayaking excursion on the Ipswich River is simple, fun and convenient.
