Escort & Place Card Displays
Personalizing the logistics of your day doesn’t have to be daunting! It can be as simple or creative as you’d like and the opportunities to display them are endless!
ESCORT CARDS provide your guests with the table number or table name they’re assigned to during the reception.
Pictured below is a artful display of escort cards hanging from the mantle in our Great Room. The combination of shapes, colors and height is impressive and unique.
For a more traditional look, use standard white escort cards with a pop of color that matches the wedding party attire. Hang them from burlap string on a mantle, shelf or frame with mini clothes pins for an added effect- it’s appealing and simple to achieve.
If you have an appreciation for antiques or vintage décor, include a brass skeleton key on each individual escort card to symbolize the “key to your heart”.
Escort cards can even double as an edible favor for your guests! Based on the season of your wedding, providing a festive fruit or treat they can enjoy while providing their seating assignment is helpful and delicious.
PLACE CARDS display the name of each individual guest and are arranged at each place setting on the reception tables. They are a helpful designation for anyone sitting at your table you may not already know and can also be a great ice breaker.
Hiring a calligrapher to handwrite each guests name perfectly is very visually appealing and provides a classic sophisticated look. Using themed place card holders is a charming way to exhibit the place cards – you could use your favorite animal, symbol or season.
If you’re serving a plated meal at your wedding or event, using place cards that double as meal choices is a clever and witty idea. You can even spice it up by incorporating colored or patterned string to achieve for a festive display.
We hope we’ve got you thinking about what your table assignment style will be for your wedding or event! There are many more ideas to be explored!

Details After Dark
Ali and Andrews beautiful September wedding was recently featured on Style Me Pretty with lots of gorgeous photos from by Erin McGinn Photography and flowers from Dogwood Floral Design. We love the pretty portraits and details of the day, but we wanted to “shed some light” on the fun wedding details that can keep the party going all night long!
This savvy bride and groom thought of everything for their guests including shawls to keep warm for the when the sun goes down and heart shaped party shades to dance the night away underneath our Sperry Tent.
The perfect weather allowed guests to enjoy the outdoor bar and bistro lighting in our courtyard when they needed a break from dancing.
The night ended with a visit from the Whoo(pie) Wagon where guests could choose their favorite whoopie pie flavor before heading home.
We hope these details after dark inspire you for your own wedding or event!
