6 Tips to Keeping Your Centerpieces Chic

Picking centerpieces isn’t always easy. There are many flower options and having them seasonally-relevant while tying it into your wedding or event theme can be a challenge. There’s also many vase options and decor additions to incorporate with the flowers. Here are some trends and tips to making them beautiful and successful.

Simplicity

Your flowers should enhance but not overwhelm your centerpiece. Keeping your flowers simple will provide a look with timeless style.

Balance

Make sure the vase is able to support the arrangement – short and wide. Having lower arrangements allows guests to see and talk easier without looking around the tablescape. Also, shorter vases work really well with garlands and table runners for farm tables!

Anti-Aromatic

Avoid fragrant flowers. Besides allergies, guests may not want to be dining with overly-fragrant centerpieces.

Size Matters

Centerpieces should not dominate the majority of the table. There should be enough room for all the place settings and food!

Flower-Free

Guess what? Centerpieces don’t have to be just flowers. They can incorporate natural elements like wood, moss, and fruit, and with the addition of lanterns and candles, it can really create a beautiful tablescape. These are great options for centerpieces with or without flowers.
