Meetings, Retreats, and Outings

Willowdale Estate is becoming the greater Boston Area’s favorite location for summer outings, company retreats, and all-day meetings. Our clients are treated to an exclusive location tucked away in a 721-acre state forest. With full service catering, complimentary planning, and a storied historic mansion, the only thing you will need to bring is your people!

Unique Venues Magazine “Best of Edition” features the best of the best in unique spaces in North America. Read on to find out what makes Willowdale Estate stand out as a venue for meetings, outings, and all-day retreats!

Unique Meeting Rooms

Willowdale Estate attracts companies and business groups who value creativity, innovation and finding inspiration in unexpected places. With several indoor and outdoor options in varied shapes and sizes, our corporate and social events move through the estate with a sense of exploration. A expansive front lawn, patios, a Conservatory, Great Room, Dining Room, Garden Courtyard and Sperry Tent create variety and flexibility for different uses. We can even plan for smaller breakout sessions throughout the estate in our upstairs suites. Our rooms are much more exciting that your average hotel meeting space along with the amenities needed (like a podium, wireless, flat screen TV,  and microphone).

Fun Lawn Games

Our clients get to choose favorite lawn games for a relaxing and interactive afternoon at our private estate. We love bringing out our ping pong table, ladder ball, bean bag toss, badminton, croquet, and indoor large-format games like Jenga!

Themed Experiences

Many parties choose to add a memorable experience like a craft beer tap mobile, a wine tastings or celebratory dinner, educational instruction sessions, canoeing & kayaking on the adjacent Ipswich River, nature hikes in the state park, or your own team building activities!

Immersive History

Our clients can add a complimentary historic tour to the agenda or if they prefer we allow full access to our historic mansion, which has unique artistic and architectural details at every turn. The house features the original red slate roof, original leaded stained glass windows, stone-carved fireplaces, images of Knights and Kings, and intricate wood molding. There is a strong equestrian theme throughout the house through carved and glass imagery, quotations and even the layout of the house is in a horseshoe shape.
